Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Good eye care starts with understanding you. A comprehensive eye examination looks at how clearly you see and the health of your eyes, with time to discuss what matters to you.

What your visit can include

Your doctor reviews your health history and may assess focusing, eye coordination, eye pressure, and internal eye health. Testing is tailored to your age, symptoms, and individual needs. A vision screening is helpful, but it does not replace a comprehensive examination. If you wear contact lenses, a contact lens examination also considers lens fit and performance.

  • Discuss your vision, health history, and questions
  • Check visual clarity and the way your eyes work together
  • Assess eye health with testing suited to your needs
  • Review findings and a recommended follow-up plan

Your questions, answered.

How often should I have an eye exam?

Your ideal schedule depends on your age, health, symptoms, and risk factors. Your doctor will recommend a schedule for you.

Should I come in if my vision seems fine?

Some eye conditions do not cause early symptoms. Regular examinations can help your doctor look for changes you may not notice.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring a medication list, relevant health history, and any questions about your vision. If you wear contact lenses, call ahead to ask what to bring. Review our insurance information before your visit.
